Poland meeting

Our students Martí Angelergues, Victor Buisan and David Domenech, accompanied by their teachers Mònica Torrell and Patricia Sánchez, participated in the meeting celebrated in Mikołów (Poland) from the 3rd to the 8th of May.

We visited different interesting places; on Monday, we visited the Historic Silver Mine and the Historic Waterworks Station.

On Tuesday, the authorities of Mikołów welcomed us at the library of the town. Later, we went to Szkoła Podstawowa nr 8 School where we were invited to see a cultural perfomance. Then our students joined the Polish ones to do an activity together: make a mascot which would represent our project! Mainwhile, the teachers met to organize and plan the different activities of the project. After having lunch, we went to a shopping centre and, finally, we returned to school to see a performance of the town's orchestra.

On Wednesday, we visited the Hydroelectric Power Plant on the Żar mountain, (reaching the peak by means of trolley). In the afternoon, we visited the Pszczyna Palace, residence of Silesian and Polish nobles. After the visit, our students came back to their host families' homes.

On Thursday, we travelled to Kraków where we visited the Wawel Cathedral, the Wawel Royal Castle, St. Mary’s Basilica and the Kraków Cloth Hall. After our lunch, we returned to Mikołów and we had a brief rest before the farewell dinner. In the evening, all members involved in the project (students, teachers, school's leadership team, authorities, host families...) had dinner together to close the fantastic meeting in Poland.

We came back to Spain on Friday. Before the departure, we went to school to say goodbye to the Polish students! Martí, Victor and David returned home with a satisfactory and pleasant memory of the stay in Poland!
